Celebrity Solstice Review

Solstice, the brand new addition to the Celebrity fleet, has finally arrived and the only word to describe her Is phenomenal!

I was lucky enough to be invited to Miami to see her first-hand and what an experience it was. Solstice is 122,000 tonnes and there will be five ships in the class, Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse and a further two yet to be named. The moment I stepped onto the ship I knew she was going to be something special. The public areas are spacious and this feeling is enhanced by tranquil lighting. The pedestrian traffic flow through the ship works incredibly well. There is an amazing choice of bars, lounges and eating options. As you'd expect, there is, the usual high standard main restaurant and the casual buffet style Oceanview cafe. There are also four speciality restaurants: Silk Harvest serving Asian cuisine, Tuscan Grille steakhouse, Murano French cuisine and Blu.

Although they all carry a surcharge they're well worth trying for something different or for a special occasion.

Cruise Deals – Anyone Can Afford a Luxury Cruise

Everyone wants to set sail for an exotic country on a luxury cruise ship, but many people are put off by the high prices most cruise operators are charging. Most people view cruising as something the rich indulge in, but if you know where to look for cruise deals anyone could afford a cruise.

Many cruise operators are being hit by the recession, driving down the cost of cruising and providing some of the best cruise deals ever seen. A few years ago a Caribbean cruise could have cost over $2000 per person for one week, today you can pick up the same cruise for around $800 per person and if you book last minute you could save even more.

Best Singles Cruise – Find Your First Mate!

Cruises are a hugely popular option for holiday makers, and they can be a great way to mingle with new people, meet new friends and maybe even find someone special. The fact is most general cruise holidays are aimed at couples or family’s, so if you are looking for love or just hoping to meet new friends you should definitely consider looking for a specific singles cruise. Singles cruises take place all over the world and there are lots of options on where to travel.

Of course just because it’s a singles cruise doesn’t mean you have to go alone, so feel free to go with a friend. If you do go alone but don’t want to have a cabin to yourself then you can sign up for a cabin sharing scheme which is an option all the major cruise operators offer.

Discover the Princess Alaska Cruise

Going for an Alaska cruise? You must try Princess cruises. Basically you will find 2 different regions of Alaska available to cruise namely the Gulf of Alaska and within Passage. Let's have a look at what Princess Alaska cruises have to offer.

On board the Gulf of Alaska cruise, you will find great view of Alaska's glorious glaciers. Cruise package sometimes comes in seven day cruise options covering Vancouver, UK Columbia and Whittier. If 7 days is far too long ( which is rare ) for you, sample the Alaska sampler cruise which only takes you a few days cruising from Vancouver to Seattle. The Gulf of Alaska takes you to Skagway, Glacier Bay state Park, Juneau for example.

Family Cruises – What to Consider When Booking the Perfect Family Cruise

Choosing a cruise that will cater for all the family can be a tough endeavour. Often when thinking of a family cruise the focus tends to be on the kids/teens needs, but a good family cruise will cater for all ages.  So what should you consider before embarking on your family voyage?

First things first, catering for the kids should be high up on your list. Children can get very bored very quickly so in order to make sure they have a fantastic time, and of course to maintain the sanity of the rest of the family, it’s important you get this bit right. Luckily most cruise operators have realised the importance of this and modern cruises have all sorts of activities that you can only imagine. A quick look at what’s on offer on the new all-singing, all-dancing Royal Caribbean reveals a vast array of activities. It boasts an on-board ice-rink, a water-park, a climbing wall, and even an on-board surfing simulator.

Marmaris City Info

Marmaris City Info

Once a sleepy fishing village, Marmaris has ballooned into one of the largest resorts on the Aegean coast, if not Turkey. Little of its history remains, as the town is now a modern development with tourism at its heart and soul. The population swells to a massive 200,000 in the summer, with most hotels, restaurants, nightclubs and shops catering to low-cost package holidays, although there are facilities for all budgets.

Despite the development which reaches around 10km along the west of the bay, Marmaris is also well-known for its expanse of green, present the whole year round thanks to the pine-covered hills which surround the town. There are many beaches around the bay, and there are ancient cities and seaside villages close by for day trips. The yacht harbour is the biggest and newest in Turkey  and therefore the busiest charter port especially for trips along the Turquoise Coast.
